Xacuti + poi at a Goan family restaurant in Assagao

Old Goa

Went to a small family-run place in Assagao. Chicken xacuti with sannas and poi (Goan bread). Around ₹450 for two. Not fancy, just a nice quiet meal.

Xacuti spice blends vary quite a bit between homes and restaurants. Fun to compare.

Yes, every Goan family will tell you theirs is different.

Poi with butter and jam at the same place at breakfast is worth trying too.
